A collection of 28 of Audra’s biomedical paintings are on display at a solo exhibit at the gallery of Cline Davis Mann, New York, 220 East 42nd Street. The collection had recently been on display at Pfizer World Headquarters Art Gallery, New York, for a period of 6 months where it received wonderful reviews.
Geras Healthcare Productions is very proud to announce a solo exhibit by Audra Geras entitled Translating the Beauty of Medicine into Art at the Pfizer World Headquarters Art Gallery in New York. The exhibit will be on display for 6 months, from March 30 to to Sept. 30, 2011, and will feature 28 of Audra’s outstanding science-inspired paintings.
The medical imagery of Audra Geras has once again been recognized with four ‘Awards of Excellence’ in the prestigious Rx Club annual juried competition for the best international work in print, electronic media and video in the service of healthcare. The awards were given to Audra for her biomedical paintings entitled: Nevo Sirolimus-eluting Coronary Stent – Cordis, Penetration of Cytotoxic Agents into the Cell – Abbott, Perforin Mode of Action – Trillium Therapeutics, and Photodynamic Therapy for Prostate Cancer – Steba. The paintings will be on exhibit in the 2010 Rx Club Show at the Metropolitan Pavillion, New York, opening on Nov. 11.
3×3, The Magazine of Contemporary Illustration, recently held its annual, fully international professional competion. We are thrilled to announce that Audra was selected as one of this year’s winners. Selection required a majority vote from the nine judges: including such internationally respected figures as Nicholas Blechman, Art Director, New York Times Book Review, Tatsuro Kiuchi, Japan, and Nigel Buchanan, Australia. Audra’s art will be published in the 7th annual 3×3 Illustration Directory and will be included in the 3×3 online gallery.
We are pleased to announce that this prestigious juried competition has selected Cell Interior: View Towards the Cell Membrane, a painting by Audra Geras, for inclusion in this years Illustration West Gallery exhibit and 2-year online exhibit. The Illustration West exhibit is scheduled to open this spring, 2010. This year’s winning artworks were selected from over 1200 entries. Audra’s painting was created to accompany a 3D mode-of-action animated video produced by Geras Healthcare Productions. The video, Targeting Bcl-2 Proteins to Restore Apoptosis, was created for Abbott Laboratories and was recently launched at the 2009 American Society of Hematology (ASH) conference in New Orleans to rave reviews.
The Rx Club annual juried competition for the best international work in print, electronic media and video in the service of healthcare has once again recognized the work of Audra Geras. We are proud to announce that Audra has won four new ‘Awards of Excellence’ this year. The winning art included Audra’s illustration series designed for Roche Pharmaceutical’s Actemra marketing campaign. Actemra, a humanized interleukin-6 receptor-inhibiting monoclonal antibody, is used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. The Actemra campaign illustrations illuminate the effects of IL-6 on synovial fibroblasts, osteoclasts, ferritin metabolism, and the development of synovitis.Three more Awards of Excellence were given for her illustrations, Facial Musculature, created for Allergan’s Botox, Osteoclast Metabolism for Roche Pharmaceutical, U.S., and Neural Synapse for Trillium Therapeutics. The show opened in N.Y.C. at the Metropolitan Pavilion on Nov. 12th.
Geras Healthcare Productions is the recent recipient of three prestigious New York Rx Club ‘Awards of Excellence’ The Rx Club annual international competition and show honors work in print, electronic media, and video in the service of healthcare. Geras Healthhcare Productions received ‘Awards of Excellence’ in the print category for three paintings which were developed jointly for Genentech, U.S. and Novartis, Switzerland, for the Lucentis pre-launch campaign. The paintings depict the appearance of severe wet age-related macular degeneration, the role of VEGF in the development of wet AMD, and the mode of action of the drug Lucentis in the treatment of wet AMD. The paintings were exhibited at the 20th Annual Exhibit of Medical Graphics held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City.
Healthcare Productions also created and produced both the Lucentis pre-launch and launch videos used in the world-wide marketing of Lucentis. The videos, combining both live action and high end 3D animation, have received widespread international attention.
